Jen Foster is an award-winning singer/songwriter who runs her independent record label, Fosterchild Records, in Nashville, TN. Influenced by an eclectic range of artists (Joni Mitchell, U2, Annie Lennox, and too many others to name), Jen has spent part of the last 2 years in a Nashville recording studio working on her latest album, "Thirty-Nine". Along with her producer, Greg Droman, Jen put together an all-star group of musicians, including Peter Stroud (Sheryl Crow), Rami Jaffee (The Wallflowers), Sean Hurley (John Mayer, Vertical Horizon), and Fred Eltringham (The Wallflowers, Dixie Chicks, The Wreckers). The project embodies a blend of sounds which range from soft, lazy-day melodies to more raucous guitar-driven tracks. Some of these new songs have already garnered Jen national attention: the single “Closer to Nowhere” was recently featured on MTV's hit show, "The Hills". It also hit #1 for several weeks on the LOGO network and is currently up for BEST VIDEO OF 2009 on LOGO. In addition, Jen's song, “Venice Beach”, was recently chosen as the theme song for the hot new web series, "VENICE" - bringing her a massive international fan base. (TO CLARIFY, THE ALTERNATE VERSION OF "VENICE BEACH" FOR "VENICE: THE SERIES" IS EXCLUSIVELY AVAILABLE ON BANDBOX AT www.jenfoster.com).
When she's not busy recording or writing and co-writing songs in Nashville, Jen also tours nationally and has shared stages with Melissa Etheridge, John Mayer, Patty Griffin, and many others.
Jen's latest project, "Thirty-Nine", is currently for sale at WWW.JENFOSTER.COM (only way to get autographed copies online! And the BEST way to make sure most of your money goes to the artist :)), Itunes, Amazon, and directly at live shows. The "Venice Beach" single for the series is available EXCLUSIVELY on Bandbox, as mentioned above. Her other music is currently available at iTunes, CD Baby, & Amazon.com, as well as on Bandbox at her newly-designed website - WWW.JENFOSTER.COM.
