Kim DiTomasso has over 10 years of event production, fundraising, non-profit, and political experience.
After graduating from Dartmouth College, she jumped into the world of New York City politics, working for former Parks Commissioner, Henry Stern. At Parks, Kim worked with elected officials to get priority Parks’ projects funded, and worked on large scale events including the 1997 HBO Garth Brooks Concert in Central Park, the annual Halloween Spectacular and Easter Eggstravaganza in Central Park.
While at Parks, Kim also developed a public-private partnership with New York Yankee Shortstop Derek Jeter’s Turn 2 Foundation. This was the first time a professional athlete signed an agreement with any New York City agency. Many of the programs started through this partnership later became Turn 2’s signature programs and still exist today. Eventually Kim was appointed to the foundation’s Board of Directors where she serves today.
In 2002, Kim started her own political consulting and event production firm. She works closely with many Members of Congress, State Senators, and local elected officials throughout the New York metro-area and serves as a political advisor, event producer, fundraiser, and campaign strategist. Kim produced various campaign rallies, fundraising events, and cultivation activities for Hillary Clinton for President.
Kim also works with various non-profit organizations to expand their donor pools, create large scale events, and program development. Non-profit partnerships include the Mary J. Blige and Steve Stoute Foundation, World Wildlife Fund (WWF), the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), New Yorkers for Parks, and the Turn 2 Foundation.
As a volunteer, Kim writes for GO! Magazine, the nation’s most widely distributed and widely read lesbian magazine. She is also a Member of GLAAD’s New York theater jury, through which she nominates and judges Broadway, Off Broadway, and community theater productions for GLAAD awards.
She is an Associate Producer on Venice. Her contributions to the show include marketing, partnerships, brand development and sponsorships.
