We follow the path of discarded clothes to bed....finding Gina and Ani sharing a sensual morning after spending the night together. When Ani asks "What was last night"? Gina pulls herself away and gets out of bed to answer the phone. It is apparent that these two obviously have shared an intimate, emotional and troubled past, but have been apart for some time. Gina sits at her computer and starts to work where Ani follows and attempts to break down the wall Gina has just put up. Ani's attempt fails, but Gina's suggestion to share a shower eases the disappointment. Later, the girls arrive on the Rooftop Lounge hand in hand to find Gina's brother stunned to see the two together. After a few awkward moments and a tender kiss goodbye, Ani leaves Gina to attempt to explain herself to Owen.

Gina, an interior designer and her assistant, Michele are discussing Gina's schedule while drinking coffee and checking designs. Gina smirks and thinks of her not so popular client as a idiot.

Guya finds herself in the home of Katherine who is in need of a spiritual guide. Guya heads to the living room while making an uptight and obviously wealthy Katherine a little nervous. Guya proceeds to light candles and read Katherine's cards while invading Katherine's personal space as she feels her energy. Katherine, uncomfortable at first becomes increasingly excited at the prediction of a young sexually attractive person entering her life and asks when she would meet him. Her expression immediately changes as Guya laughs and surprises her with...He is a She!

Gina is negotiating a new contract to decorate a hotel with Alan and his associate Tracy with Michele in tow. The negotiations seem to be at a stalemate until Gina throws in her ace that she has another more prominent deal on the table. At this, Alan concedes and agrees to her terms. After a recommendation of a good manicurist for Alan, Gina and Tracy share some intense glances with a promise of more to come.

Later, Gina and Owen are having drinks while she cooks dinner. The Sibs discuss their past romantic failures and share a special moment while remembering their deceased mother. Gina heads out and arrives at the Rooftop Lounge delivering a large box to Alan. He is excited and Gina is shocked when he pulls out a pair of silver sparkled boots like something Elton John would wear on stage. An excited Alan exclaims " My Boots". Gina leaves to join Owen . A few moments later, Tracy walks over and the two embrace.

A more serious Guya is visiting Gina and Owens's distant father, the Colonel. She insists that he try and spend time with his kids and get to know them as his late wife, Kate, would want. He is quite distraught at the idea that his children don't lead what he considers normal lives. He is quite emphatic that he cannot accept that his daughter is gay. Guya continues to badger him and is insistent that they set up a brunch in which she will act as the buffer.

Gina meets Tracy on the Rooftop and the two engage in flirtatious banter and end with a sensuous kiss and plans for a date in which Tracy insists on being romanced. Gina's intrigued smile proves that she accepts the challenge to win Tracy over.

Gina and Owen work out at the gym while Gina tries to get date advice. The request to be romanced has Gina uneasy planning this date while at the same time very excited. The phone interrupts them and Gina is surprised to hear the Colonel's voice inviting her to have brunch. She resists at first, but gives in and adds that Owen will join them. It is obvious that neither of them is overjoyed to join their father for brunch and are expecting the worst, but Gina confesses she is doing it because their mother would want it.

Gina spreads a blanket on the beach for herself and Tracy. They share wine and converse about their lives and travels. Gina, to prove that she can be romantic, recalls what Tracy was wearing the first time they met and pulls out a bag of Tracy's favorite candy that she had only mentioned once. Tracy being very touched by this leans over and the two share soft and sensual kisses while drawing nearer to each other.

Owen is set up on a blind date by his Aunt Guya and is quite pleased when he meets Sami. They sit in the back of his SUV and get to know each other sharing past blind date failures over a beer. Owen is very impressed with the Peace Corps work that Sami has done and invites her to dinner at the beach.

Owen and Gina arrive at the Colonel's for brunch and are greeted outside by Guya who is so giddy that she announces she is even wearing panties! Once entering the house and greeting the Colonel, the mood turns dismal. The Colonel hides what looks like a tube of lipstick in his pocket as not to be seen by the others. His judgmental attitude infuriates his children and then he insults Owen about his acting career. Gina rises to his defense making it understood that she will not tolerate his berating her brother. She then makes sure he is aware that she is still gay and does not need his acceptance. They leave a distraught Guya with the Colonel as they hastily exit in anger.

Gina is sitting on the beach deep in thought and is surprised when Ani walks up to check on her after receiving her call. Gina explains that she needed someone to talk to and relives the brunch at the Colonel's. Ani tries to get Gina to accept that she may never have her father's approval and should find a way to heal and move on. An upset Gina asks Ani to hold her and without saying a word, she moves over and embraces her.

Gina and Michele, while discussing appointments later in the day, give each other advice on their personal lives and moving on. Gina admits to loving Ani, but is not sure if she is in love. Later, Gina meets Ani at an outdoor photo shoot. It is apparent that Ani asked Gina to meet her and has an agenda. Both are emotional and although it is difficult, Ani asks Gina to let her go. They share a tender kiss goodbye with tears in their eyes. Ani takes one last picture of the two and gets up and walks away.

Ani answers the phone and finds Gina on the other end explaining that she needed to hear her voice and misses her. Ani again emphasizes that she needs for Gina to give her space and to let her go. It is very emotional and obviously difficult for them both.

Gina briefly joins Alan and Tracy on the Rooftop Lounge to discuss samples for the Hotel and share a few flirtatious stares with Tracy. Later Gina, Owen and Guya are having an adult sleepover including cocktails. It starts out fun and lighthearted until the topic turns to family and past relationships. We learn a new twist to Gina's past when the name "Logan" and realize she may be a roadblock to her being able to commit to a new relationship. The three continue to dish on their new involvements and lost loves including Guya's ex, Dan.

Ani, still off balance from her call with Gina, is having a rough morning and muttering to herself, "fuck it" and "this sucks".
A disheveled Ani enters the coffee shop and orders not realizing she doesn't have any cash. She meets a beautiful, very together writer, Lara who is sitting at the counter working on her laptop. Lara graciously pays for her coffee and the two continue to chat and make plans to have drinks later.

The morning after the sleepover finds Guya, Owen and Gina nursing hangovers and Guya admits she may have drunk dialed a guy she is seeing. Owen leaves to meet Sami to go surfing and makes plans to meet Gina later to have her meet his new love interest. Guya and Gina share a special moment together. In her own unique and quirky way, Guya advises Gina to not over analyze everything and stay in the moment because it is a beautiful place.

Ani and Lara enjoy a private meal in an exclusive restaurant where Lara knows the Chef. The two share stories of their lives and childhoods including how they had chosen their careers. Lara divulges that her father is an alcoholic, but that she has dealt with that and out of her troubled childhood came her passion to write children's books. They both discuss how their families feel about their sexual orientation. At the end of the date, nervous and unsure of the next step, the two draw closer and Lara leans forward until their lips meet for their first passionate kiss that leaves them both desiring more.

Owen and a nervous Sami await Gina's arrival for drinks. Owen does nothing to calm Sami's nerves as he describes Gina as a pit bull and over protective. Gina arrives all smiles and pleasantly greets the two. Owen, while trying to impress Gina, talks about Sami's work in the Peace Corps.  Gina lets out a sarcastic laugh and asks "When are you going back?" Sami excuses herself  and goes to the restroom and Owen calls Gina on the carpet for her sarcasm declaring that he really likes Sami. Sami returns to an uncomfortable silence at the table, but an enamored Owen reaches over and kisses her as an over protective and somewhat critical Gina watches.

Gina, Michele, Tracy and Jamie drink a toast to Owen who was just cast in a movie. The mood is light hearted until Owen sees Ani and Lara approaching the table. Awkward introductions between the group and Lara ensue. Lara and Ani finally leave to go to their own table and an upset Tracy turns to leave with Gina following.

Ani and Lara discuss what just happened. Ani gives Lara the "cliff note" version of her relationship with Gina. The two are able to get past it and begin to enjoy their date. Gina and Tracy find themselves enjoying a passionate entanglement against a wall sharing passionate kisses while their hands explored each other's bodies. Finally, as the desire and passion continued to take over, they slowly slid down the wall continuing to ravage each other.

Gina and Tracy are emotional and tearful while sitting on the beach discussing their relationship. Tracy admits that she is falling in love, but will not move forward if Gina is not all in. Tracy realizes that Gina is hurting and is battling demons from her past that is keeping her from committing to a relationship. Tracy finally gives an ultimatum to Gina and leaves saying that she is going to London the next morning.

Gina goes to Ani to try and settle things between them. Gina does not understand why Ani cannot just be friends and has to have all or nothing.  Again, Ani stands her ground and insist they go their separate ways. Later at home, a frustrated Gina pounds on the laptop keys while playing video poker. She receives a call and leaves quickly. She arrives at the Colonel's house and he opens the door to invite her in muttering "I didn't know what to do."   The Colonel opens another door and the two look inside to see a covered body on the floor.
