07More Behind-The-Scenes Action!
08Closer to the beach…Season 2
09Looking Back
Well, I think I can finally string two sentences together and actually make sense. I sat down last night and thought about this past week...so many incredible memories came rushing to me. First and foremost, the support of the VENICE fans is like nothing I've ever seen..the generosity, the warmth and the loyalty is unreal. Then I thought about all that our cast and crew accomplished in five and a half days...albeit really LONG days. The script nearly doubled from season one (we heard you when you said you wanted longer episodes) and we shot it in less days. How did we do that? Start with gifted actors who pour their heart and soul into a script and who bring their "A" game every single day. Then add a crew of over 20....and lots of help. The one common denominator was a sense of joy that each and every person brought to the set every single day no matter what which made the days sail by. Beth, our wardrobe guru and stylist came armed with her IPad to keep track of all the wardrobe changes which is key for continuity and the ladies wear a lot of different outfits...lots of pretty. Cliff had tubs of props labeled with each characters name. Patrick and Hilda, our hair and make up team kept things moving and kept the cast laughing. On our big party day, they never sat down but I will tell you this, I've seen the footage..and it all looks fantastic.
Everyone asks me what me favorite moment was from shooting this season or my favorite scene...I have many. One of the most touching moments was when Jordan came to set, I don't think there was a dry eye...it was so good to see him. After all the hugging, joking and fawning, he quickly got right in to character and his scenes with Crystal and Hillary were a master class in acting. They take your breath away. Every time. I will say that each cast member had a moment that was my favorite but I can't share those until the episodes air...
Our new cast members were a gift..Crystal and I call them "little Venice miracles." And we loved the way they jumped right in, came to the fan event and truly embraced the Venice fans.
I'll be blogging weekly with updates as we get closer to the launch of Season 2!
Major thanks to our crew, cast and all of you.
Peace xo
Kimmy
