Listening to Adele in middle of day with @michaelsabatino……oh, wait. We’re not on twitter. LOL I love social media…can ya tell? I think it’s a fabulous place to connect but it IS hard to express oneself in 140 characters or less. Note: please feel free to talk to me. I tell my kids when they say to me, “Mom, I didn’t say that!” ….sweetheart, Mommy’s a professional listener”. I do my best anyway. I want to know what’s going on. I’m like the nosey next door neighbor……nonsequitur, remember Mrs. Kravitz? I was taught by the great Sanford Meisner, himself, to listen….er, act. Acting is reacting….which means somebody better be listening….lol. It’s a hard thing to do, I believe….the listening part, I mean. Whether one’s personal truths lie worlds apart or ego is your bestest friend, listening is an art…and a gift.

We are heading into the last episode of Venice. Shocks me! My Team and I have been hard at work each and every day moving Open Book forward. We’re a hard working group. What makes us a cool group is that we listen. There is soooo much to learn. And we all have something to contribute and learn from each other. I may ask for several explanations to certain things that pop up but I get an answer. We all also enjoy wine…lol! Insert PO Box addy. I have to give proper shouts to Venice IT. They worked for me….for you…for FREE….for over a year because they believe so much in Venice. It’s important to know that…As someone who’s fallen madly in love with the movie The Help…..I wanna say to IT…you’se kind, you’se smart, you’se important. LOL thank u!….ps Did I spell you’se right?

So, here’s the dealio……I’m leaving Venice S3 up until…. I can’t….I will have Season 3 DVD’s available very soon after epi 12 airs. You will be able to go online and watch. Seasons One and Two will continue to air on weekends. Just cause you’re so awesome!! I so appreciate the support and….dum, dum, dum….the feedback….lol. It actually helps me very much.

Love the poster concepts coming in. Fan bases be kind and accepting of one another. And please say the word Fuck at least once a year. Thank u, DocGiani.

Mwah! Off to kiss on hubby and shoot hoops with the boys…..not at the same time…but I’m ambitious!

Ani comforts and supports Gina while they both admit missing each other. The connection and chemistry are palpable. Later Gina is on the beach alone, daydreaming of Ani and a special moment with her.

Guya attempts to soften the Colonel and persuade him to be less obstinate regarding his therapy and children. Later in the day, Gina arrives just as a disgruntled nurse is storming out of the Colonel’s house refusing to return.

Michele and Jamie share a few relaxing moments gossiping and dishing about their non-existent love lives. Michele suggests in jest that he try on-line dating. The vivacious Jamie proclaims they are all “crazies”!

Van surprises Guya who is meditating at the time. Guya fills Van in on all of the family issues of late and Van says he would like to make things better between himself and Owen.

Lara and Ani share a picnic on the beach. They discuss their work and it is obvious Lara is still having issues with her editor and her book deal. Even so, they share intimate and playful moments together.

After the Colonel falls asleep in his chair, Gina covers him with a blanket and finds herself once again lost in thought and reflecting while looking on his mantle at his medals.

Owen gets up the morning after his romantic evening with Sami to discover that his father has had a stroke. Owen and Sami talk with Gina and she explains the events of the previous evening while discussing how to take care of the Colonel after his release from the hospital. An intuitive Owen realizes that his sister is not telling the whole story and is maintaining her silence. Later Sami is on the beach reading a book where she first meets Van, who is chasing a Frisbee.

Ani surprises Lara with coffee and tells her about Gina’s father and that she is going to check on her ex.

Guya is on the phone discussing the Colonel with Gina and also tells her that her son, Van, is coming for a visit. She turns to find the woman with red hair facing her. The woman doesn’t speak, but looks distraught. Again, when Guya looks away for a second, she disappears.

Catherine finds herself intrigued with a woman in a restaurant and rehearses lines in her head about how to approach her when an unaware Alan walks up and interrupts the moment.

Gina and Jamie share a walk on the beach discussing the tragic evening before and all of the details. As Gina leans on Jamie for support he reveals that he knows the deceased woman’s identity. Just as he reveals her alias they break out into hysterical laughter.

Later, while kneeling in the sand on the beach Gina looks up to see Ani.

Gina finds herself in the middle of a tragic event at her father’s home and they disagree about involving the police. As the intensity escalates, the Colonel collapses. A shaken Gina makes two calls….the first for an ambulance and the second a desperate call for help with the situation. Later, Jamie appears at the Colonel’s home disguised in a hooded jacket. As he is cleaning and removing objects, he wonders, “what have I gotten myself into?”

Owen recreates a romantic African dinner for Sami and they share an intimate night together.

Lara and Ani continue spending time together. While Lara displays anguish with her editor and her book deal, Ani relaxes her with a massage which leads to intimate kisses and ends with dancing.

Guya is upset after getting the call about the Colonel, but not until she has a disturbing vision from her balcony…a brief glimpse of a red haired woman.

Michele has a brief meeting regarding Gina’s project with Alan in which Tracy is mentioned briefly.

The Episode comes to a close with a distraught Gina, alone and reflecting about her life and lost love, Ani.

Gina and Tracy are emotional and tearful while sitting on the beach discussing their relationship. Tracy admits that she is falling in love, but will not move forward if Gina is not all in. Tracy realizes that Gina is hurting and is battling demons from her past that is keeping her from committing to a relationship. Tracy finally gives an ultimatum to Gina and leaves saying that she is going to London the next morning.

Gina goes to Ani to try and settle things between them. Gina does not understand why Ani cannot just be friends and has to have all or nothing.  Again, Ani stands her ground and insist they go their separate ways. Later at home, a frustrated Gina pounds on the laptop keys while playing video poker. She receives a call and leaves quickly. She arrives at the Colonel’s house and he opens the door to invite her in muttering “I didn’t know what to do.”   The Colonel opens another door and the two look inside to see a covered body on the floor.

Gina, Michele, Tracy and Jamie drink a toast to Owen who was just cast in a movie. The mood is light hearted until Owen sees Ani and Lara approaching the table. Awkward introductions between the group and Lara ensue. Lara and Ani finally leave to go to their own table and an upset Tracy turns to leave with Gina following.

Ani and Lara discuss what just happened. Ani gives Lara the “cliff note” version of her relationship with Gina. The two are able to get past it and begin to enjoy their date. Gina and Tracy find themselves enjoying a passionate entanglement against a wall sharing passionate kisses while their hands explored each other’s bodies. Finally, as the desire and passion continued to take over, they slowly slid down the wall continuing to ravage each other.

Ani and Lara enjoy a private meal in an exclusive restaurant where Lara knows the Chef. The two share stories of their lives and childhoods including how they had chosen their careers. Lara divulges that her father is an alcoholic, but that she has dealt with that and out of her troubled childhood came her passion to write children’s books. They both discuss how their families feel about their sexual orientation. At the end of the date, nervous and unsure of the next step, the two draw closer and Lara leans forward until their lips meet for their first passionate kiss that leaves them both desiring more.

Owen and a nervous Sami await Gina’s arrival for drinks. Owen does nothing to calm Sami’s nerves as he describes Gina as a pit bull and over protective. Gina arrives all smiles and pleasantly greets the two. Owen, while trying to impress Gina, talks about Sami’s work in the Peace Corps.  Gina lets out a sarcastic laugh and asks “When are you going back?” Sami excuses herself  and goes to the restroom and Owen calls Gina on the carpet for her sarcasm declaring that he really likes Sami. Sami returns to an uncomfortable silence at the table, but an enamored Owen reaches over and kisses her as an over protective and somewhat critical Gina watches.

Ani, still off balance from her call with Gina, is having a rough morning and muttering to herself, “fuck it” and “this sucks”.
A disheveled Ani enters the coffee shop and orders not realizing she doesn’t have any cash. She meets a beautiful, very together writer, Lara who is sitting at the counter working on her laptop. Lara graciously pays for her coffee and the two continue to chat and make plans to have drinks later.

The morning after the sleepover finds Guya, Owen and Gina nursing hangovers and Guya admits she may have drunk dialed a guy she is seeing. Owen leaves to meet Sami to go surfing and makes plans to meet Gina later to have her meet his new love interest. Guya and Gina share a special moment together. In her own unique and quirky way, Guya advises Gina to not over analyze everything and stay in the moment because it is a beautiful place.

Ani answers the phone and finds Gina on the other end explaining that she needed to hear her voice and misses her. Ani again emphasizes that she needs for Gina to give her space and to let her go. It is very emotional and obviously difficult for them both.

Gina briefly joins Alan and Tracy on the Rooftop Lounge to discuss samples for the Hotel and share a few flirtatious stares with Tracy. Later Gina, Owen and Guya are having an adult sleepover including cocktails. It starts out fun and lighthearted until the topic turns to family and past relationships. We learn a new twist to Gina’s past when the name “Logan” and realize she may be a roadblock to her being able to commit to a new relationship. The three continue to dish on their new involvements and lost loves including Guya’s ex, Dan.

Gina is sitting on the beach deep in thought and is surprised when Ani walks up to check on her after receiving her call. Gina explains that she needed someone to talk to and relives the brunch at the Colonel’s. Ani tries to get Gina to accept that she may never have her father’s approval and should find a way to heal and move on. An upset Gina asks Ani to hold her and without saying a word, she moves over and embraces her.

Gina and Michele, while discussing appointments later in the day, give each other advice on their personal lives and moving on. Gina admits to loving Ani, but is not sure if she is in love. Later, Gina meets Ani at an outdoor photo shoot. It is apparent that Ani asked Gina to meet her and has an agenda. Both are emotional and although it is difficult, Ani asks Gina to let her go. They share a tender kiss goodbye with tears in their eyes. Ani takes one last picture of the two and gets up and walks away.
