i started watchn GL in feb. in 2009 and watched til the finale epi in sept. i was flipppin channels one day and came across otalia on the screen and the moment i started watchn them both i fell in love w/ the whole storyline and the whole show itself. i was always excited when they were on and seriously only watched for them :) will forever love the music videos and epis of them on youtube xoxo

The story of Otalia, while limited by the TPTB, still displayed a very heartfelt, raw and deeply emotional journey of two women, not two lesbians. This kind of love can develop between almost anyone, without labels. I appreciated that. Loved the naivity and goodness of Natalia. Loved the fierceness of old Olivia and the transition she made. But most of all, I am thrilled that my 2 year old daughter can watch and say "Emma has two mommies too!" Most of all, thank you for that GL! And thank you CC/JL for such an honest portrayal of the joys and fears .... a fan for life.

I have been watching the Otalia storyline on YouTube. I love who it was built up but hated when they didn't let them be intimate. Thank goodness for YouTube because I didn't have cable when this storyline was happening. So happy that my middle son got me hooked on YouTube.

I miss the Otalia storyline so much. They had such a connection that really touched your heart. They made you laugh and cry. Couldn't wait for the next day to be able to see them again. They had a kind of love you hope to find a least once in a lifetime. What is really cool about CC & JL is they really have a great connection in real life to and that is so awesome.

i am an Otalia junkey i have to watch everynight i realy miss the show , but we still have yutube and all the other channel one of my favorite part was when CC and JL was tellin EMMA they were moving back to the farm house as a family....

I so miss Otalia. I have started watching it again from the begining. What a wonderful love story. I dont think I will ever get over the loss of GL or Otalia. Not only was it great entertainment, it created this community of wonderful people ana I have made friends I will have for the rest of my life, what other TV show/storyline could have made all this possible? Otalia will always have a special place in my heart andI will be a fan of Crystal and Jessica forever, not only for Otalia but how great they are to their fans.I swear I can babble on forever, lol Now I am all sappy :)

Without Otalia, there would be no Venice, and we would not be having these little chats. Need I say more? We are all blessed.

I quit my job this summer to take some much needed time off and became an internet whore. A few months later while scouring the wealth of goodies on the web, I discovered the Otalia story on YT and instantly became a fan. I began to marathon all the episodes and devour every bit of media devoted to Otalia without much sleep. Invested, obsessed, crazy, etc. are all words that don't fully describe my behavior. Needless to say, that when I learned the show was cancelled, I died inside. How in the world could the most brilliant writing, acting, and story on a wonderful show STOP? I'm sorry but the vast majority of TV fare is awful. I've recorded AMC for over 30 years so I am very familiar with the soap genre. AMC has been SO BAD for the last 2 years I can barely stomach it. GL blew me away! I know my own dear grandmother spent her entire life watching GL, "her story". Okay, now on to the incredible, juicy, awesomeness that is Crystal Chappell and Jessica Leccia. You know... there are thousands of gorgeous and talented women in the entertainment world, but these 2 are in a class by themselves. Crystal Chappell IS a GODDESS and Dimples is so talented and damn adorable. OMG I could gaze into those beautiful, green, liquid crystal (lol), eyes all day while watching a pro chew the scenery. "SERIOUSLY" I'm in love with CC and I'm straight! (At least I think so.) So, now I maintain my obsession by watching the Otalia story over and over and over...

I think it is sad that they cancelled otalia because the story is vvery well written and it a waste to frow such talent.

thank god for You Tube, that's all I can say. Been watching and re-watching.

What a great story, slowly built up, beautifully told with amazing CC and JL chemistry. Any other TV show would die for all that so why on earth did TPTB screw it up with their stupid censorship. After investing in it for so long? It makes no sense to me. Hopefully one day someone will tell us what went on behind the scenes and why.

The fan reaction was intense anyway, just imagine what it would have been like if Otalia had been allowed the intimacy afforded to other GL couples! I'm not suggesting a big shag-fest, just cute kisses and brief bed scenes (heck, even Frank & Natalia got that *shudder*). With realistic Otalia intimacy this story would have exploded even more than it did and GL would really have gone out with a bang - no pun intended :)

i miss otalia, a romantic slow building story of discovery and friendship. plus the weekly madness; the BPD Play By Play, TVU dictating my evenings, discovering twitter, the BPD Otalia podcasts.

Feels like the Otalia war brought us together and then we de-mobbed, fragmented. Basically - i miss the invested madness, that was Otalia - The way we could break stuff, because we had gotten our internet bodyclocks in a kinda scary sync.

but life changes, thats the rub and so i move on, (kinda - still living from friday to friday via otalia fanfic) by following CC & JL in venice, invested optimism for this work in progress

I started watching the Otalia story on Youtube and fell in love with them too!! I have every episode saved and I can't tell you how many times I've watched!!! Crystal Chappell is absolutely gorgeous and Jessica Leccia is breathtaking!!! Venice is a success and I'm totally obsessed and every week I sit on the edge of my chair, I love it!!!

What drew me to the Otalia story was the way it was best friends falling in love. My husband and I have been married for almost 30 years and we started out just like that...as good friends who were surprised to find we had fallen in love. I loved the story of Natalia's faith journey because I am a woman of faith (my husband is a Baptist minister) and Jessica played every beat of that perfectly, never too shallow, never over the top, always believable.

I've been watching soaps for 45+ years and I, too, have been very disappointed at what some of the others have become (particularly AMC). But the writing of this story was beautiful and I loved the way it was filmed and the use of music, too! Altogether, a true work of art.
