I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED Episode 7. Lots of character development. There was one scene that was missing for me. I love the relationship between Gina and Jamie. This how I would write the scene. How would you write it?

GINA AND JAMIE
“THE BEACH PARTY”

EXT. VENICE BEACH - DAY
Jamie is leaning against the wall as Gina walks up to him.

JAMIE
Hi there.

GINA
Hey Jamie. I’m sorry I couldn’t talk to you at the party. Ani is there with her new... I am just doing everything I can to stay vertical and put one foot in front of the other.

JAMIE
I know.

Gina reaches into her pocket and gives an earring to Jamie.

GINA
I knew I would see you today. I got this from The Colonel. He was playing with it instead of doing his exercises this morning.

JAMIE
He tell you anything about the hooker?

GINA
Nope and I didn’t ask. You get rid of her stuff yet?

JAMIE
There is a bonfire in a month or so before the new year. Cleansing of all our sins from this year.

GINA
...And the flower garden you planted... along that path. Can it be traced to you?

JAMIE
No. Mostly undocumented workers worked on it. But it is beautiful... lots and lots of blue flowers.

GINA
Thank you for doing it and thank you especially for doing it with respect and dignity.

JAMIE
Yeah... love you Baby Girl.
Jamie starts to reach out for Gina and she pulls back.

GINA
I know... love you too. I have to go... I can’t have this conversation.
Jamie nods his head as Gina jogs away trying to keep herself together.
