44 and still haven't been kissed! Kinda sad I know.
I am 44 and still waiting for that first kiss too. I didn't really know I was a lesbian until about 1 year ago. Now I am separated from my husband but living in the same house so our kids13 and 7) can have us both. Only my family and close friends know. My husband is the only one in this town that I live in that knows. He is ok with it. When it is time to tell my kids then I won't hide it anymore from anyone else. I wanted to separate so that when the time that first kiss happens, I will be able to enjoy it and not feel guilty.

VJMA, sister it is a very brave thing your doing. Don't be in a rush it will come naturally. Keep your eyes open though she is not going to come kocking on your door. I was a late bloomer too.. Out? well according to the new world order no. I have always been a very private person even in my straight relationships. Give yourself time to get your footing first before you think you have to be at the head of the parade to be a "real lesbian". The reality is the truth is unlike anything you will ever experience. when it happens you will feel like your gonna explode with the intesity of it. You'll see it will be worth all your hardship. God bless and stay your course.

I hope it all goes well for you. Especially I hope that things are okay for you & your kids & their father all living in one house. If there's no stress there over the arrangement, then, that is excellent! But, you are really very lucky if that is the way things are working out. Things can get so sticky when people separate but don't divorce, and separate but stay in the same abode for either children or $$ reasons. Good luck to you. You are more than welcome here, for support, etc.

I was 20, I think and it was my best friend who I had a big secret crush on... we'd had a few beers and I asked if I could kiss her... I remember how soft and warm her lips were and the slight slow caress of her tongue finding mine.... still gives me goose bumps.
