I have silently scrolled comments which of late have created angst amongst subscribers, pro giani/ pro lani, a good soap should draw debate,but not battlegrounds. I have viewed many gay films/Tv etc and edited many (very bad ones), desperately searching for, not the love scene, not the passionate kiss, but a sublety in a touch, a look, a smile a kiss, that shows true love and joining of a soul.My father told me actions speak louder than words, so I hunted for the foundation to Venice, 'Otalia'.Venice is Crystal and Jess's response to incredible men and women, who contacted them and recanted heartwrenching experiences,as a response to Otalia storylines. Venice was a gift from Crystal and others to these amazing people,a show where love could be shown with honesty and compassion, without network prejudice ot ties,that is the foundation of Venice.In words of Oliva Spencer, "Its all about love"
Otalia gave us two actresses,Crystal and Jess,who bravery and commitment to play these roles, led them to super couple status of daytime on an international basis. Rewatching every episode I have been humbled and drawn to tears by their efforts, to show the joining of these character souls, despite the no kiss rule. I so look forward to watching the rejoing of their souls again in Venice.
Giani or Lani....its in the look...Giani gets my vote.
