Shawn Christian
Shawn plays Brandon, Guya’s hot detective boyfriend whose career is much more deeply entangled in the Brogno fabric of life than he or Guya ever expected.
A native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Shawn Christian has enjoyed a successful and varied career as an actor. After graduating from Michigan’s Ferris State University with a degree in Marketing, Shawn relocated to Chicago where he honed his acting skills on stage with the improvisational company “Improv Olympic.”
Shawn then landed the role of working class anti-hero ‘Mike Kasnoff’ on the New York-based CBS daytime drama “As The World Turns.” Shawn moved to Los Angeles and landed recurring roles on ABC’s “Boston Legal” and NBC’s “Crossing Jordan” and “Las Vegas.” He returned to his comic roots with a role on the HBO series “12 Miles of Bad Road,” as well as in the role of Jennifer Aniston’s gynecologist on “Friends,” and in guest starring roles on “The Drew Carey Show,” “Ellen,” “Will and Grace,” “Becker,” and “Coupling.” Shawn also starred opposite Lori Loughlin in The WB’s hit series “Summerland” and opposite Jami Gertz and Tyne Daly in the CBS hit movie “Undercover Christmas.” Additional television work includes staring opposite Paige Turco in the NBC hit family movie “Secrets of the Mountain,”“C.S.I.,” and “Shark,” and lead roles in the action drama pilots “Red Skies” for USA and “Spy Girl” opposite Jennie Garth for NBC. Shawn played darker characters in the role of convicted killer Danny Pelosi in Lifetime’s Original Movie “Murder in the Hamptons” and dangerous con man in “Ghost Whisperer.” He can also be seen in Christopher Guest’s feature film “For Your Consideration,” “Shopgirl” with Steve Martin, “How To Leave Your Lover,” “Almost You,” and “Beautiful,” directed by Sally Field. Shawn appears in a supporting role in Eddie Murphy’s film “Meet Dave” and stars as the lead in the cult franchise hit “Tremors III” as the offbeat Zen cowboy Jack Sawyer.
Shawn recently finished filming as a lead role in the independent film “Spanners.” He also stars in “Mating Dance” opposite Chris Pine and opposite John Hawkes in “Small Town Saturday Night.” He currently stars as ‘Dr. Daniel Jonas’ on NBC’s “Days of Our Lives.”
