Change is Good

Hi Friends!!

First off, I hope you are well and finding Peace during these unusual times! I can't say enough about the importance of, not only good physical well being, but keeping our minds calm, focused and active in a positive way. I know my family has been sorting our way through the summer trying to adjust to whatever new thing comes up. And, boy, there seem to be a lot of new things! : )

I actually believe that change is good even if it doesn't feel that way at first. There's always something that you get from it if only a new perspective on familiar situations or even people. I try to navigate through it all with an openness to learn, a willingness to be wrong, and a determination to better myself. That might mean having to sit in the Uncomfortable for a while and wrapping my head around something so unfamiliar. I guess what I'm trying to say is....maybe now's a good time to do something different. Change your daily routine....change the order of the day....try a new exercise.....a new food...a new hobby etc. I personally have to look at all that we are going through as a GIFT from wherever you believe gifts come from. An Opportunity to be our best selves....Again.

Whew! Now that I've said all that, how the hell are ya?! Im well. We've been building a house on our back lot and, knock on wood, we are in Escrow! I'm knee deep in saw dust and a wealth of crap...er, a business I know not much about. Again, wrapping my old noodle around newness. It's ok though. I love seeing the vision that we created on paper become a physical entity. It's fascinating really. And I've developed a whole new appreciation for what these Contractors, Artisans do! We will probably be moving out of our current house in a month (Mid Sept) to start demolition on it so we can create the shared driveway that will connect to the back (in escrow) house. It's hard to describe but, the gist is, We Moving Out!

Jake and Grace are happy and thriving. Its such a blessing! I couldn't ask for a more lovely and down to earth daughter in law. And my son is happy and loving his early journey as a first responder. It does my heart good to see their love and dedication to each other. Dylan has just started his Senior year! It's Remote or Distance learning which was his second choice because, of course, he misses his friends. But he's one of the most intelligent and reasonable almost 17 year olds I've ever met so he understands this is what we must do. He does have friend time on the weekends. He loves writing and, I have to say, is one of the best writers I've read. He's passionate, articulate and loving. What a proud Momma I am...!

Michael and I feel we are in pretty good shape to ride our lives out together. We're building a house and still love each other so....Apparently the divorce rate is high when couples take on a remodel. lol. Really though, He's doing a magnificent job! Contractor extraordinaire! We're excited to get to work on our actual home in the fall/winter. And then we've both agreed....we're taking a break! I see lunches on the Pier, spin classes, meditations, walks with Buck and family time in the future! Sometimes the simplest days are the best days!

Ok then, to those of you who have blessed me with being a part of CCnFriends, I've decided to no longer keep it going. I don't feel right about charging for something I don't have Enough time to dedicate to. Now, I DO hope to have reunions/events in the future because I want to see you but pics and newsletters will be no longer. Please stay connected with me through social media. I so appreciate your kindness and generosity!

If you haven't checked it out yet, please visit our new online network, Reel Women's Network at www.reelwomensnetwork.com. We are featuring content created by women...something we need more of in my opinion ; ).

Time for me to try something new with my day!

Be well, my Friends!
